New Open Access Resources

The Agora Project is building upon existing resources, primarily Philosource, and also extending available open access resources in philosophy, in both primary and secondary literature.

Two new journals have been launched by the project:

UiB-WAB has published:

CNR-ILIESI has now published a total of 16,500 pages of text in the Daphnet portal and in the new Daphnet Digital Library. Among the new material is:

  • In the platform of Ancient Philosophy: 3 books of Sextus Empiricus’s Outlines of Pyrrhonism
  • In the platform of Modern Philosophy: 11 volumes of Vico’s Completed Works, and the first book of Locke’s An Essay Concerning Human Understanding
  • 47 existing scholarly articles on Modern and Ancient Philosophy

CNRS has published:

ONTOS has made available a further three books, in addition to 27 books made available open access in 2011:

  •  from the Philosophical Analysis Series
  •  from the Epistemic Studies series
  •  from the Publications of the Austrian Ludwig Wittgenstein Society series

Net7 has released two Digital Libraries based on Muruca platform:

  • – The correspondence of European intellectuals with the Swiss cultural historian Jacob Burckhardt from 1842 to 1897
  • – all the works of Antonio Gramsci in digital format
